Energy Efficient by Design
Viceroy meticulously designs and engineers homes with high insulation values for the ultimate in energy efficiently. Considering the fact that home owners around the world face increasing fuel and electricity costs, superior insulation allows them to realize substantial savings in both heating and air conditioning cost compared to a less energy-efficient home.
Warmth and Comfort
Viceroy house wrap, best described as a jacket that fits over insulation, provides year round comfort and energy savings it reduces drafts and outside air that penetrate the home through cracks and seams, and works with batt insulation to help lower your energy costs. Combined with Viceroy's low E2 argon filled windows your insulation package ensures that your home will be warm and comfortable in any season.
Healthy Housing – Formaldehyde-free
Johns Manville Formaldehyde-free insulation uses an innovative new acrylic binder that eliminates binder-related formaldehyde emissions during manufacturing, and after installation will not off-gas formaldehyde inside your home. It also contains 20% post-consumer recycled glass. Johns Manville Formaldehyde-free fiber glass insulation is made with a non-toxic, acrylic resin binder. Which means it’s naturally white. But formaldehyde-free insulation doesn’t just look cleaner…it actually is!

Traditional Fiber Glass Batt
& Roll Insulation |
| Naturally White – Contains no bleaches or dyes. If it’s
white, you know it's formaldehyde-free. |
Discolored/Dyed – Formaldehyde-based binders give
insulation a yellowish hue. Some manufacturers add dyes for
distinction. |
| Non-Toxic – Manufactured with a non-toxic acrylic binder. |
Contains Formaldehyde – Contains a binder made with
formaldehyde, a known human carcinogen. |
| Less Pollution – No binder-related formaldehyde emitted
during manufacturing or after installation. Formaldehyde-free
manufacturing prevents hazardous air emissions by 100 tons
annually. |
Manufacturing Emissions – Binder-related formaldehyde
emitted during manufacturing. |
| EPA Recognized – Formaldehyde-free manufacturing
plants are exempt from EPA Clean Air Act hazardous air
pollutant regulations. |
EPA Regulated – Manufacturing plants must comply with
Hazardous Air Pollutant requirements as outlined by the EPA’s
Clean Air Act. |
| Less Itch, Less Dust – Cleaner insulation is easier to
handle and faster to install. |
Causes Irritation – Contains formaldehyde, a known
irritant, which, in combination with other sources, could lead to
itchy, watery eyes, nausea, weakness and allergic reactions. |
| Clinical Proof – Packaging bears a formaldehyde-free
stamp. Passes environmental Specification 1350, the toughest
indoor air quality test, with a non-detect for all pollutants. |
Marketing Claims – Packaging and promotional materials
may bear ”green certification“ claims, yet no formaldehyde has
been removed and no substantive changes have been made. |
| Recycled Content – Contains more post-consumer
recycled glass than any other fiber glass insulation. North
American average recycled content is 20% post-consumer and
5% post-industrial (30% in California and 50% in Canada). |
Recycled Content – Contains minimal amount of
post-consumer recycled glass, if any (0 - 4%). |
